Travel insurance is very necessary for frequent travelers. We will discuss some of the common circumstances in which travel insurance is necessary.

· In certain situations, people might need emergency medical treatment while traveling.
· Whenever somebody cancels or curtails their trip because of bad weather or other exigencies such as sickness, injury to self or any family member, that person would have to forego the money have spent on that trip.
· The travel operator or airline may strike work or suspend operations due to certain circumstances, wherein one would have to cancel the trip without compensation of any sort.
· There is always a chance of luggage being misplaced or stolen, where one could lose valuable items.
· Most of health insurance plans offered in U.S. offer pittance or even nothing for medical expenses incurred outside the U.S.
· When traveling one might be forced to defer their trips which, in turn, would cost the person to spend more for his/her stay there.
· One could be forced to evacuate their resort because of natural causes like earthquakes, hurricanes or other weather conditions. During this time, it is always prudent to have an insurance plan to cover such contingencies.
· If one rents a vehicle, and has an accident with that vehicle causing the person to pay damages.
